Dr. Richard Sohn, Director of HCC
Dr. Richard Sohn is a bi-lingual and bi-cultural (Korean) licensed clinical psychologist, who has been serving culturally & linguistically diverse clients in several community mental health settings in the Los Angeles area since 2002. He is strongly committed to and advocates for providing culturally sensitive and linguistically appropriate services to the under-served communities. Dr. Sohn has worked at several community mental health clinics for more than 10 years as therapist, clinical supervisor, and clinical director providing direct clinical services for children, youth, and young adults with severe psychological and behavioral challenges, facilitating clinical training for and supervising doctoral-level Psychology Interns, managing and directing a county-contracted mental health program, and providing quality care assurance. He has also worked as a "school-based" therapist and behavior consultant at Stirling Behavioral Health Institute in Van Nuys, CA. HCC Psychotherapists HCC therapists have extensive clinical experience working with children, youth, and young adults. They have many years of clinical experience in treating children and adults with ADHD, Mood Disorders, Panic and Anxiety Disorders, social and interpersonal skills deficits, histories of child abuse, and anger and self-esteem issues. At HCC, we work closely with clients, parents and referral sources to help improve mental health and behaviors. We carefully design an individual treatment plan for each client based on the theories of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Our clients will learn empirically validated behavioral and emotional coping skills and apply them in various social and interpersonal settings. Upon receiving referral, we will respond within five (5) working days to perform initial intake and psychological evaluation focused on referral reasons, and begin intervention accordingly. We are LOOKING forward to serving individuals with challenging psychological and behavioral issues. Psychological Services for Children, Youth, and Adults:
